Booking can be done online through drwoodchiro.janeapp.com or by emailing your practitioner.

Timeliness

Your appointment starts at its appointment time, so please do not show up more than 5 minutes early, if you do you will be expected to wait in the waiting room. If you are late to your appointment the practitioner will have to cut your treatment short and still end at the allotted time. If the practitioner is running late and starts your appointment late, they will extend the treatment time and end the treatment late. If this is not possible they will charge you for a shorter treatment.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a 100% cancellation fee. This can be paid at your next appointment or by e-transfer.

Rescheduling Appointments

Can easily reschedule appointments online or by emailing your practitioner as long as it’s more than 24 hours before your appointment time. If you reschedule within 24 hours it’s considered a late cancellation and will be charged 100% of the treatment fee.

Privacy

I authorize the clinic and its associated health professionals to collect my personal and medical information. If I am seeing multiple practitioners at this clinic, I consent to the sharing of information between practitioners for the purpose of providing seamless and effective coordinated care. In addition, I authorize the clinic and its associated health professionals to communicate with my family doctor and/or referring doctor as deemed necessary for my beneficial treatment. I also understand that my personal and medical information is confidential and will only be disclosed to third parties with my permission.

Fees & Payment

You will be expected to pay after the treatment is done before you leave. We take debit, cash, and e-transfer as methods of payment.

Insurance

We can direct bill to Blue Cross, Telus Health, Sunlife and Greenshield. Every plan is different and covers different amounts of the treatment. In some cases plans do not allow direct billing and you will have to pay for the treatment in full and submit the receipt yourself to your insurance provider.

Intake form and Consent to Acupuncture

You will receive an intake form and a consent to acupuncture form by email when you book your first appointment that is to be filled out before you arrive.

Code of Conduct

Harassment Policy

Snowy Owl Acupuncture has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination. Violations will result in immediate action, potentially including termination of session with full charge. 

Alcohol and Drug Policy

The use of drugs or alcohol on the premises is strictly prohibited. Any violations will result in the immediate removal of the individual from the premises.

Physical Contact Policy

Physical contact between clinician and patient must be appropriate and professional. Inappropriate physical contact will lead to immediate corrective action.
